Blå Stället
HDK
2015
A fictive visual identity based on the culture house Blå Stället in Angered, Gothenburg. Where I worked with a framework and to challenge my role as a designer, by creating tools and frames for others to create within.
This project is mainly about where to let go of the control in relation to the result, and how clear and unclear an identity can be without loose its clarity. What’s good limitations that invite to creativity, and which is not.
It’s an identity with a gesture of openness and adaptability and which is based on emphasizing Blå Ställets important multicultural activates and content.
The identity consist of 4 varied logotypes, all with a purpose to frame, adapt and emphasis Blå Ställets content and activities. It’s a logo-system which are build on one primary logotype and 3 subordinated versions. The logotypes consist of two parts, which have a smallest distance to each other, but where the biggest distance is endless. The primary logo always have a specific relation to the formats corners where it’s figuring. The size on the logo in relation to the corners can vary depending on purpose, format or product.
